What makes a massage "somatic"?
The word comes from soma: the body as you experience it from within.
Most massage treats the body from the outside, as muscles to be worked on. Somatic bodywork adds the inside view. While my hands work with muscle and fascia, your attention and breath become part of the session. You notice where you hold, how it feels as it softens, and what calm actually feels like in your own body.
That awareness is what makes the effect last beyond the table.
Awareness
Gentle cues invite you to feel what is happening, so you leave not only relaxed but more connected to your body's signals.
Touch
Slow, attentive bodywork through muscle and fascia, with pressure and rhythm adapting to how your tissue responds, never a fixed routine.
Breath
Guided breathing is woven into the session to help your nervous system shift out of "on" mode and into deep rest.

The science behind the stillness
+
Slow, warm touch and your skin's pleasure nerves:
Your skin contains special nerve fibres that respond best to slow, gentle stroking at skin-warm temperature. Research links them to feelings of comfort and safety, which is why the pace of each session is deliberately unhurried.
+
Why breath changes your nervous system:
Studies on slow breathing show it increases heart rate variability, a marker of a flexible, well-regulated nervous system, alongside greater relaxation and reduced arousal.
+
Fascia, your richest sensory organ:
The connective tissue around your muscles is densely packed with sensory nerve endings. Working with fascia slowly and precisely communicates directly with the nervous system, not only the muscle.
+
Feeling from within:
Research on body-oriented therapy shows that combining touch with guided awareness can strengthen interoception, your ability to sense your inner state, which is closely tied to wellbeing and self-regulation.

About
Hi, my name is Eudo Quintero
I was born in Venezuela and spent 20+ years living in Switzerland. For a long time, my life looked successful from the outside, but the work I was doing no longer matched my values. I didn't recognise myself in it anymore, and my body felt it before my mind was ready to admit it.
That was when I discovered somatic work. In Switzerland I began to explore how the body holds stress and how breath and touch can help it let go. In 2018 I started training in breathwork, and soon I was guiding private yoga and breathwork sessions and organising retreats. In 2026 I opened The Sanctum Space, a boutique yoga studio in Aloha Pueblo, Marbella. Today I bring more than 550 hours of training in breathwork, somatic bodywork, yoga and subtle energetic practices into every session.
What I noticed again and again is that people don't only carry tension in their muscles. They carry it in the way they breathe, brace and hold themselves, often without knowing it. That's why my sessions combine touch with breath and awareness. My aim is not to "fix" you, but to create the conditions in which your body can let go on its own and remember what rest feels like.
I work in English, Spanish and French, at The Sanctum Space in Aloha Pueblo and at Zen House in Puerto Banús.
